Kenny G and Stevie Wonder
Kinda Relaxing!
Back in about '80 or so I was privileged to see Kristofferson perform. It was in the old Spokane venue which held 20,000 people. Willie Nelson was the star performer and a member of Kristofferson's band (Billy Swan) had a one hit wonder song called 'I can help' and the show opened with Swan performing with the rest of Kristofferson's band for about 1/2 an hour, then Kristofferson took the stage and performed with his band for about an hour.
I won't go into detail about Willie's show---------------but it lasted over 3 hours and was non stop.
I enjoyed Kristofferson's show but his vocals were a bit 'off key' that night.
NOW! Perhaps you don't know this about Kristofferson. I hope all will enjoy it! :tu The gentleman who introduces the video is mistaken as the event isn't 'Hosted by' Willie Nelson, Willie is only the 'Presenter' of the award.

He was also awarded Father of the Year several years ago.
Cool story, Roy-Of course I love Willie too. And I always loved that 1 Billy Swann hit (which Kristofferson mentions him among others in that spoken word intro). And the fact that Kris was a football star, Army chopper pilot and Rhodes scholar before his musical career shows what a Renaissance man he really is.
One of the most expressive singers ever. I was struck by Johnny Ray from when I heard him on the jukebox at Arnold's on Happy Days in about '74. Some of you old-timers might recognize him.

I just learned of the passing of Little Richard today.
While he didn't have any big hits after about 1958, his influence has continued including a little quartet from Liverpool--

I am listening to Sarah Jarosz at the moment. One of the best Traditional American Music singer/songwriters today if you ask me.
Having a few beers, still celebrating VE day. Here's my Maj , GOD bless her.
