    Thumbs up A Bit of mid-1980s Nostalgia

    Feeling homesick... time-warped, too.

    You can have everything, and still not have enough.
    I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

    My playlist changes frequently. This week it’s western songs. (Not Country). Country and Western are two separate genres of music. Country the guy loses his dog, his wife his job and his truck won’t start. Western they sing about coyotes, horses, outlaws and days of their youth. Granted two on this playlist don’t sing, one is western humorist Baxter Black the other cowboy poet Waddie Mitchell. On this playlist;

    Michael Martin Murphey, Red Steagall, Dave Stamey, Baxter Black, Waddie Mitchell, Sons of the San Joaquin, Riders in the Sky, Dan Roberts, Don Edwards, Ian Tyson, and others I’m probably forgetting.

    My Brother, Sister In Law & I got to see Riders in the Sky in concert back in the early 90s. They’re as good in person as they are on the radio or on disc. I wish I’d picked up a cac-tie when I had the chance.

    A DJ at my online radio station (Rock-a-Billy Radio) played this tune and I found this at YouTube.

    I dedicate it to my buddy, Jerry (Gasman)

    Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdin’s cave of 'stuff'.

    I always do things when a semi truck is involved/cars are treated in a similar manner.

    1. When behind, I always make sure I can see him in his left hand mirror.

    2. When I pass I always physically look to check the distance between us before I pull back into the lane he's in. Only using the right hand side view mirror doesn't cut it!
