Thanks Tom! That really brings back the memories.

1968 I was a Freshman and Tommy James and the Shondells "I Think Were Alone Now" was very popular. I'll have to have a listen to the greatest hits!

My daughter, God bless her, brought me this today. She saw it in the record store and paid entirely too much for it since she knows what a huge Ella fan I am. I' m also a huge fan of my sweet girl!

Speaking of being a huge Ella fan here's some interesting reading about another huge fan: ...

...Marilyn Monroe who used her star influnce to meet and become great friends with Ella. Later she would use that same influence to help build Ella's career.

There's an interesting poetry in a few paradoxical aspects of their friendship not least of which that somone by whom so many are star struck even today was, herself star struck by another star.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Ren. Lots of Ren. This dude is a freakin' musical genius, multi-genre renaissance man, etc., and so on. Discovered him with "Hi Ren" (buckle up for that one...), then fell into a pretty deep hole of his music. Really interesting guy with a crazy back story. And killer beats.

Enjoy! (and hi everyone... it has been a while)

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

His stuff certainly hits you in the feels and is unique in a way that is pretty much performance art. He’s on another level for sure.
