I LIKE that!

After YEARs in the modern military weaponry I have regressed in tech :p I don't have any pictures of my Schmidt Reubin 7.5sviss A present from my father in law. The only WW rifle I have left after an extensive collection.

Now days I'm all about the single shot handguns and rifles. Figgure if I can't do it in one shot I don't need to take the shot. It has served me well for the past 15 years :) HELL of allot cheaper than the 2-3 thousand rounds I was shooting every week in competition :p

I like the "Trapdoor." Is it .45-70 or .50-70?

My brother just inherited these. The 1911 was issued in Vietnam and chromed later on in life. The M1 Garand is something I would love to own. Wish he didn't inherit them, but such is life.

I do have a warm spot for .50 cal BPC guns. At one time, I had a .45-75 WCF 1876 Winchester. It was a nice shooter.

here is a little of my own gear, the 40 cal lancaster style rifle, 44'' swamped collerain barrel and jim chambers lock. The henry I often carry on horseback, and is a real good shooter.
The knife is damascus steel by a local custom knife maker, expat sth African police armourer, does lovely work. He also made a lovely throwing 'hawk for me with a heart cut out in the blade.
You blokes in the previous posts have some real nice gear.

That's what I'm talkin' about. A real oldschool tool. I have wanted to get one through the NRA surplus program for a long time. I'd bet it will still drive tacks. You're smart to hold onto it.
