That's why I like russians and slavic people so much. Growing up in the cold war era,I only knew the us against them part of it. But there was a wonderful hidden culture behind that Iron Curtain that I learned about.Government and Politics aside I found the russian people I've met to be full of heart and soul. The lady I know here grew up in Stalins time and has told me about growing up in that hard period. I listen and learn. The food the customs and even the mindset intrigues me. And I really wish I could be more immersed in the language because I love to here it spoken,including various other slavic languages. Bulgarian,Ukranian,Polish,Czech,Hungarian......old country man !:)
