Nice! Someday I'm going to get something bigger than a squirrel or a coyote (although I must admit, shooting coyotes with a .41mag is darn fun. They bounce). With my luck I can put cameras up and see deer all over the place up until the week before the season starts then I show up and poof, nothing to shoot. The first week when it's antlered only I only see doe, the second week when it's anything goes I see nothing but squirrels. se la vie.

most definitly, i got that gun for 220$ its a model 76 sportman made from 1976-1985 so its an old gun but it shoots like a dream, id never get rid of it. it was the cheaper version og the later produced 760 and 7600 model.Quote:

The green chair is just there to give an idea of the width. This was the last day of rifle season. I had set up in a new spot that I was scouting for the second part of bow season. After a couple hours of watching he came up out of a creek bottom about 10 yards behind me. Well my trigger finger wouldn't let me wait for bow season to make this kill ;)

as far as deer managment if i had my way deer season would be closed for 2 years and then buck only for 3 or so becuase we have few deer in the area, what we do have are big but we need to give them a rest so we can get more, But pa game commision wants rid of them and no matter how (overpopulated) they say they are i dont buy it, most of the hunters i talked to said they dident even see a deer all season.
