I am running 11.04 on my T410. I dont like the new interface so I switched it to the classic. I use to run VMware on it back around release 9 but there were too many bugs in the interface. I had to edit the config to get it to work properly then whenever a kernel update came out I had to go back and re config it after a recompile. Got tired of it. I run virtual box now and have my XP, and win7 machines running under it. My son's laptop was an old T43 that I had Ununtu on and it ran like a champ and he had no issues learning the interface. I have a transcoder set up on my laptop right now for the PS3 so I can stream unsupported video formats to it. Works with my phone as well.

How did you get on with this endeavor, did you end up getting an OS into your laptop?
