They have been talking about open carry in Texas on and off. I'm not sure I would open carry even if it passes. I worry someone would make a grab for it.

I'm a fan of Corbon also. They use Sierra bullets nicknamed "flying ashtrays". Extreme hollow points.

Most of the times I interact with police they don't care when I identify myself as carrying.

On one traffic stop a few years ago the traffic cop asked me where it was. When I told him it was on my waist he started giving me a long (15min) lecture on why I should not be wearing it. About how all it took was for someone to say that they think they saw it and I could lose my license. He was a complete idiot. I just let him run down and went on my way.

The others have said, "Fine, just leave it there."

The law isn't very old there at all. Just a few months. There was a recent story about the government offices being overwhelmed with license requests.

I used to live there and hated that one could not carry. glad to see it's changed. I'll have to check reciprocity

After reading this thread I can actually say that I have never been scared of a bad guy with a gun. You good guys with guns scare the crap out of me.

LOL I don't know if I qualify as a good guy Tom, but nothing to be scared of here. Guns are like condoms... I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
