Made Myself A New Belt!
Hey Guys,
I've been wanting to make myself a belt that matches the color of my awesome Wolverine 1000 Mile boots and after it's been hanging around the shop for over a year I finially finished it! But like a total DA, I forgot to include the boots in the pics!
It’s a custom ranger belt I made for myself that is totally hand stitched – each stitch hole punched one-at-a-time and an estimated 5 hours of actual stitching time! No wonder it took me +1 year to complete it! This one is dual-layer, 8-9 oz. dyed veg tan on the outside and a nice brown liner on the inside, bringing the thickness to approx. ¼”. I hope to have this belt for a long time so I guess the labor was worth it! I made the billets 1” vs. the normal ¾” for a 1 ½” belt, and I also made them in a contrasting brown that goes well with the British tan color on the body of the belt. The keepers weren't complete in the photo, but they are now and they’re made from natural horse hide for strength and durability. The keeper pictured came from an old Coach pocket book that a friend at work gave to me. I also robbed the buckle from the pocket book! I think the hipster term for that is “up-cycling”...
Anyway, let me know what you think as comments are always welcomed!

Great looking belt! That's pretty good incentive to not gain or lose too much weight.:)
I have a pair of 1000 mile boots too. Awesome footwear.....should go well with your belt.

That is a very professional looking job. Great work. Check out Bandera Gun Leather here if you are inclined to make one with a way to CCW.

Slick looking belt! Now hang a wheelgun on it and you're set.

Great looking belt!! Tar Heel craftsmanship at work.

Thanks for the nice comments, Guys! I've got some more stuff in the works that I hope won't take as long to complete!

I admire your ability and your patience.
That is a FINE looking belt.
When I need a new belt, I stop by one of the Amish harness makers in Southern MO and let him fix me up. The belts aren't fancy or as nice as yours but they are "Hell for stout."

That is the belt of manliness! That thing look like you could just whip it off during a bankrobbery an start whipping the crap out of the bad guys!
