In the topic of soon to be personal firearms. Anyone following the new releases at SHOT show this week?
This has to be one of the most unique, a Chiappa "Triple-Threat" three barrel shotgun.

That is really cool, nice "home defense" weapon, but I'm sure the weight would be close to my 870 or 1100.
Maybe, but check out the video on youtube, this thing is a monster!

Cool, but no ejectors?
Only issue I see with the Chiappa shotgun is it that it reminds me of my "want" for a desert eagle .50...I've had two. They are super cool, super heavy, built like a tank, but for me there was zero practical use. I would like to check out the "triple-threat" though, may not be as heavy as I envision.
On the 1911 pistol Magpie, this platform has one of the smallest diameter grips of a full size pistol around. There are slimmer grips you can put on them, but they will not make it much "smaller", but very well make it "feel right" in your hands. I've personally got short fingers & a large palm. The 1911 platform is my choice hands down. I shot a friends Springfield XDs the other day...pretty impressive. It's got a total overall slimmer package, smaller diameter grip, and it comes in .45. Will I ever own one, I don't know. What I do know is that I'm personally not a fan of polymer pistols, but they have proven themselves.
I'm about 5.5 and 145 pounds My most comfortable feeling was with a Berreta Cheetah in .380
That thing fit my hands pefectly. (that should give you an idea of how small my hands are)
Unfortunatly for me, at the moment NY will not provide me with a licence to own, forget about carry. They have many sticks inserted in various orifi in this neck of the woods. So at the moment, all I can do is dream.
