Picked up last week :D
Shopping for some different grips for it.
It is tight out of the box. Can't wait to take it out - hopefully in the next couple of days.

Nice VBOB!! I gotta get out shooting again, too many new toys, not enough time for the older toys!
Let me know of where you find grips other than www.vzgrips.com as my round butted kimber need some slim grips to make her "just right".
Larry Davidson was my go to grip guy, but he retired last month :( Loved his Chaos pattern, incredibly grippy without being sharp and abrasive on the skin while carrying. Coming Soon is starting to make G10 grips now, too. Esmeralda, Sarge and several others are making high end wood grips. Check out 1911Forum in their "parts and accessories bin" subforum for lots of grip pics and reviews.
I've got my eye on a few different sets of Sarge's.
I haven't checked out Esmeralda's in a couple of years, maybe I will take a look.
Vzs are always a solid option but I am leaning towards real wood.
I have a pair of Fusion cocobolo's on my SA which are nice
But Sarge's are definitely a cut above.

My Ruger SR 1911 came with a nice looking set of rosewood grips right out of the box. I was not enthralled with the plastic grips that Sig Sauer supplies with their P229, functional but sooo pedestrian.
I have always loved exotic and unusual wood, therefore
Here's my P229 (9mm) with a set of Hogue Tulipwood grips snuggling up to a Mitch Rosen 5JR.
