I know they are expensive, but a CCW is still a tool...you need to think about it that way. These guys are right on about the finish, it's really tough. Most sigs I own and have owned are all stainless slides with an aluminum frame, so even if you have a blem in the finish from wear or a chip...you should be just fine. Take it apart, clean it, & lube it once a week on warm weeks and at least once a month in cooler weather and you will be just fine. When carrying, it's not the corrosion you need to worry about, it's dirt & lint...amazing how much can get into your weapon. There are very few blued steel weapons being carried concealed now days with the advancements in alloys and polymers, the stuff just deters wear and rust/corrosion.
