Here you go Joel. Great group of guys who are very knowledgeable when it comes to these old SE razors and the forum is full of info.
Was just checking out the SE site, didn't see to many references to the classic Wilkinson 7 Day set of razors, great SE's, fun job to get all the blades honed, but along with the Rolls, the Wilkinson is one of my favourites.
Getting a nice Ever Ready has been on my radar for years....
Not too much mention goes to the Wilkinson on that website. Most attention is dedicated to lather catchers followed by the simpler SE razors like the Gem, Ever Ready, etc.
I just sold my Ever Ready, a "Made In England" version. They're incredible razors, easy to find, get one!
I'm desperately looking for one of these, a Darwin Hollow Ground Safety Razor:

Very similar to a Rolls. Missed one on eBay a few weeks ago, I'm kicking myself for not getting it as they're pretty rare.
I have never seen a Darwin before. I have quite a few Henckels straight razors and when I first saw the Rapide and Wotan wedge razors I went on a bit of a spree. I also have a couple of the Wilkinson sets. They are quite great.
They're very interesting razors.
Just got a Henckels Rapide, a complete set, been wanting one for a LONG time. Tragically, I ruined the silver plating trying to clean it up and I either have to live with it like this or spring for a replating (I'm thinking rhodium).
I can sympathize with your buying spree. These vintage SE razors are very addicting!
I do like SE razors and have collected some over the years. Your mention of the Darwin jogged my memory and I had a look see at what I had in the SE line. Sure enough a Darwin turned up. IIRC I bought it at one of the local antique stores. I really should try it out sometime. They are very nicely made compared to the Rolls razor or even the Wilkinson 7 day set I have.

Yesterday I went to buy a Valet SE, and the guy threw in a Wilkinson SE. From what I’ve found it’s an Empire, but not from a 7 day set. Anyways, it needs a bit of cleaning and the blade probably needs honing, but I was doing research to just figure out how the heck it works. Interesting razor!!
