Here are the two sketches. The top one is with the tail as is, no modifications. The bottom one is if I was to put it back in the forge and bend it down slightly. What do you think?

I like the top one better.
Planeden gets his wish! The top one it is. I like it better as well. Glad I went with that option. Here is the blade all ready for heat treating. Now for the part that makes me nervous...

I'd like a Ferrari.
Just seeing how far these wishes can go,
Can I get in line behind you planeden. Make mine Red DVW! :rofl2:
The tail to pivot swoops up. HUH, That is different. Maybe its just the toe that makes it look that way.
Sorry guys, only one wish granted per razor :D
It's a hybrid, Jerry.
Think late 1700, and early 1800s, and combine the two.

His pivot hole location makes the tail more modern, though.
The Hybrid I can understand. Why not. Everyone can make what they want. the pivot holes in the two Outback posted are lower. More below the top grind line in the blade face. This may still turn out to be a very nice razor. Its got a nice shape, just different in my eyes.
Yeah.....kinda cool, with an odd twist.
Exactly. That is what I was struggling with. Do I bend the tail down at the blade/tail junction and make it more like the one that says "I AM GOOD AND WILL SHAVE WELL", or do I keep it as is? I decided to keep this one as it was. I may make a second one yet with the tail bent down, just as a comparison. So far I am liking the weight, length and feel of it. However, I won't really know until I can shave with it. I hope to get some time today to fire off the forge and get this thing heat treated.
