Have been pretty busy the last few weeks so I haven't been taking as many pictures as I make them. I've got a pair of razors just out of heat treat based on the early Marsden Magnum Bonums, and a single FBU clone. I'll try get some pics as I go through the grinding with those.Quote:

IMHO, a single concave grind is referred to as a 1/4 hollow.

However, the popular usage of "wedge" usually refers to a razor with a single concave grind that has not been "hollowed" very much.
These razors were ground on a 10 inch wheel so very shallow grind. Wedge razors, now and in the past, were ground on very large diameter wheels, just enough concave for the center of the blade not to touch the stone. AFAIK there have never been any truly flat ground wedge razors, well, none were ever made that way from the factory or craftsman.Quote:

Thank you. If you had shown this photo at the beginning I would not have questioned it. In your original photo grind looks deeper.
Probably just the reflection, when you have a glossier finish it makes the faces of the razor look more concave than they are.Quote:
