Ok you junkies (myself included)
I'll get some shots up later on when the nipper is in his bed.
Did the pre ht blade thinning this afternoon, good bit of progress.
Gotta say a big thanks to Dave, the profiling has saved a ton of time.

I've done it now.
Once you put these on the site I think there is a high expectation to succeed ultimatley.
A bit more refinement and a buff required before ht.
Oh just remebered I don't have a buffer, guess I'll have to do that bit by hand.
That spine work is gorgeous! How did you end up doing your hollow work?
Looks fantastic Deckard.
I have one blank hollowed out and ready for HT and another that I'm working on right now. My stuff got put on hold for a while do to moves and life, but I suspect I might be able to show off something a bit more simple than either of you pulled off in the near future.

So this is what I did today.
I have more pictures that should be uploading from my phone so I can post them up later, but here is a quick peek. I took two of the square points and altered them a bit. the one that stayed the original width was hollowed out on a 4" wheel and looks great while the shorter one is getting a much more wedge-y attitude after shaping on an 8" wheel. The shorter one lost some width after I realized I had my hollow cut in the wrong spot and took the edge down much more thin than I wanted to before heat-treat. Which they should get as soon as the historical razors that are also being worked on get ground down to shape as all of them are the same steel. Depending on time I might get the smiler hollowed out as well too.
