Digging the the LOC digital archives - razor use and return policies?
I know there are a few historians on here, most of us can dig a little bit of history. Its a slow day at work so I was digging through the Library of Congress digital archives and came across this.
The art of honing a razor. The art of shaving : [Lonergan, Charles H.] [from old catalog] : Free Download & Streaming : Internet Archive
I read the last paragraph and it had me laughing :rofl2:. Particularly the part quoted below.
"..it is always better to adopt the plan fenerally adopted by barbers, i.e., to obtain a cutler's sanction to allow you, by paying a trifle more, a reasonable length of time to try one (razor) after another until you get one to suit you."
Does anyone know of any cutlers that still maintain a use and return policy? :p
