New section with historical articles

Hello shavers,

We are starting a new series of articles themed around the history of razors, shaving, and other relevant topics that are of interest to our community.
They will be featured on the site's main page, and under a special section Voices from the Past.

The inaugural article is by Martin103 and is a translation of two chapters on stropping and shaving from Jean Jacques Perret's "La Pogonotomie, ou L'art d'apprende a se raser soi- meme" published in 1769.

I hope it is an enjoyable read for everybody :)

It's good to see this type of work/research given a showcase, that's easy to get to & send people to, as it grows it will be a great history reference.

There is indeed more great stuff coming (as a perk for coordinating it I get to read them in advance) :)
We're starting with roughly a monthly schedule, and will see how it goes. We have some good talent on the site but I very much like to expand it. It is a lot of work to produce something of high quality, but with more contributors we can ensure it is happening on an ongoing basis.

We just published the second article in this section - Straight Razor Place - A brief history of William Greaves & Sons
It is by Zak (Voidmonster) on the history of one of the top razor manufacturers from Sheffield, William Greaves & Sons.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, it's really fantastic with an outstanding depth of research.
