I've noticed a lot of "what's your favorite..." threads on this forum but none asking about what razor people enjoy using the most. So I thought I'd start one.
My favorite is a F.A. Clauberg Tonsorial Gem. It's the first straight razor I got. I won it from eBay for $8.00 with no idea what I was doing but it turned out to be in fact a gem.
I'm still experimenting with different razors and soaps pretty often, but lately my go to has been a Shuredge "New Science Concave." It practically honed itself and I've just been enjoying it. Plus I've been testing out different soaps, so sticking with 1 razor trying to be as objective as possible. :)

My Filarmonica #13 DT is just as smooth as can be. As I had mentioned in another thread, I'm not one to buy into hype if I can avoid it, so I'm usually skeptical if one brand is touted over another. But I can tell you without reservation that this is easily my smoothest shaver. And that's not saying my other razors don't get a superb edge from the pro honers, it's just that the Filly stands out.

That's why I like my tonsorial gem as well. It's smooth as a butter knife. If it wasn't for the sound, I wouldn't know it was shaving.
For me it is a close call between my Wade and Butcher, and (gasp) my Gold Dollar 209 both shave supper smooth, take an edge quickly, and last a very long time. I have others that shave well but these two always give a great shave and neither is picky about what soap I am using,
I feel like I should add that this Staraet is a close second and that maybe given the same finishing stone treatment could compete... Always have to mention a runner up :)

Smooth as silk, great weight so it feels good in my hand and I personally think it is BEAUTIFUL!

I agree with Shane... This razor trumps my other ones at the moment, even the Iwasaki kamisori, but that might be due to the fact that I haven't mastered the technique quite yet...

Clean shaven and content every single time I use that one:)
