Here's the proof. The bottom blade was used by my grandfather, the top is a gift from my wife (shocking as it is, she saw it at an antique market and picked it up for me, was a bit insulted when I started laughing)
For all our 8k, 12k, Belgian, Escher, CrO2 - these were probably honed on a 220 stone ;)
