Well here's a twist, Take my name off the list. I have all I need right now, all I wanted was a Shave ready razor to compare with, but I can always send one out for that. with so many in need, I don't want to take somebodies Else's chance.

Sign me up! I started using a straight razor in Oct. 2001. It wasn't because I wanted a barber shave at home or was in a nostalgic mood, I didn't have any money to buy replacement blades anymore. My wife and I both worked for United Airlines as reservation agents and on Sept. 11, we had a nine month old daughter and my wife was about a month away from giving birth to our son. For the next three weeks, work really sucked, we had all these people calling in trying to get home, often out of money, hungry and with no money to get by, a thousand miles from home. It was sad to hear their stories and have no seats for them to fly home on. After we got everybody back home, United laid us all off, including me and my wife who was off on maternity leave anyway. Here I was, with a 10 month old daughter, a newborn son, laid off with no income and no razor blades. Well, I grew a beard. The neck really started aggrevated me, the beard hair would get caught in the threads collar of my shirt and whenever I turned my head, I'd pluck a hair. It hurt. So, I thought I would shave my neck and all I had was this old Spike straight razor. The Old Spike was my dad's and it was wore down pretty much and I didn't really know how to sharpen it, so those first shaves were pretty rough, but it took off some hair and it wasn't getting caught in my collar anymore.
I was out of work for about a year (six months if you count the part time job I had picking up used condoms off the ground with one of those grabby-hand things and cleaning toilets for the city of South Charleston's parks dept. until I got a decent job).
I can afford to buy a razor blade now, but I am still using the Spike. THe shaving is much better since I've figured out what a strop is for!
I could use a replacement for the old Spike, so definitely sign me up!

sign me up thanks

I'd like to sign up, If I am eligible. I gave up the straight razor last summer and foolishly sold all of my stuff. I think it might be time for me to get back on the horse.
How can I sign up for the give away, I couldnt see how to do it. just started with my straight edge hence the name"sorechops" felt ok at the time but after a while it looked like I shaved with a blow torch. I am determined to get it right, just hope I dont run out of face before I get the better of it.
Since I am helping Ilija list names etc. I am only posting so that I will receive alerts whenever there is a post..............GOOD LUCK GUYS :tu
Could I have my name added to the list please.
Tony H
Hi, could you please sign me up for the giveaway?
Thanks
In all good conscience, I am removing my name from the hat as well. I have, or have on the way, all that I need to start my journey with The Edge. I hope I can continue to pick up tips and directions from those here on the list. You guys are fantastic!

me, me, me! thanks:)
Please Sign Me up. I would like to know what a sharp razor is like. Thanks
Please put me in the draw. :tu
I'm also new and would appreciate being entered. I've got a good brush, soap etc as I've always used this even with a M3 but since moving to straight (Only 1 that uses disposable safety razor blades) am getting into it.
I will then gaurantee to pass on (in the next giveaway or before) depending on how well I get on with straight shaving.
Anything will be received with many thanks. Preferred would be a shave ready straight and stop but I'm not greedy.
Sign me up please. This is a great opportunity for beginners and I thank you.
Sounds great, sign me up! I've been wet shaving for about a year, but new to straights.
ok. might as well be a lemming and join the giveaway
Is it possible to sign up on behalf of someone else? My father-in-law is interested it trying to shave with a straight, but neither uses computers nor speaks English.
No but I can sign you up and you can give your winnings to him.
If the drawing hasn't been held - please se\ign me up - I've been out of town and not to available.
Tom
after much contimplation, would you enter me also? didn't want people to think I joined ya all just to score freebees....
Any idea when we're going to close the sign up and start the drawing? I'm hoping to be able to send a few bucks to Lynn to help in shipping costs but I'm not going to have regular internet access too much longer here. I'm already almost a week past the time I thought I'd be out of the house. Once I'm out I'll be "homeless" until we find another place and internet will be dependent on libraries, truck stops, and modern campgrounds. I could send money now but I'm nosy and want to know how many packages have to be shipped first :p.
Thanks.
Hi, Living in the UK I'd be more than happy to pay my own shipping charges should I be fortunate enough to be accepted. This is such a great offer. Anyway, I'm about to have another go with the feather after letting my face recover. I'm sure I'll be posting a disaster somewhere in the forum
It closes this Friday.
Hi!
Like Pete (250316), I live in the UK and should be only too willing to pay for the shipping charges should I be fortunate enough to have my name drawn out of the hat. Best wishes to the lucky winners!
Robin
This whole thing makes me wish I didn't have everything I need....But I cn't in good conscience sign up.
sign me up too... new strop would be nice to have... and since i live in finland, i'm willing to pay all shipping costs through my friends credit card, if i'm lucky enough in this thing...
I guess this is where the sign up is. Count me in, please.
