Guys its been almost a year since Bill passed. April 4th to be exact, and I thought it would be a nice thing to do to show our respect and honor his work by posting in the Shave of The Day thread with some of Bills creations.
Bill was gruff, and always opinionated, and sometimes just plain ole Ornery! but most loved him for his honesty and his craftsmanship was in the realm of Perfection.
Please show them off thank you Tc

just to get the ball rolling here are some of mine,, I,m not home so I had to use a pic I had here with me. I have a brush or 2 that has been paid forward and also some makeup brushes from Bill,, so lets see them boys TC oh and don't forget the SOTD thread Tuesday Tc
Wish I had one of Bill's brushes. A work of art they were. Also recall the paddle strops he made, a true artisan. By his recommendation I picked up a NOS Palmera at a very fair price, while everyone else was chasing the almighty Filarmonica.
Took some time to get a "like" out of the old fart too.. Pretty sure he got banned for a moment there, har har. Ornery he was, and his random spelling always gave me a laugh. Great idea TC.

Here is a SOTD picture from last year, shortly after Bill passed.
It features one of his brushes, one of his favorite razors, and his favorite soap brand.
He was very talented.
He had issues with spelling and the use of there and their. Those last two things surprised me. He was a very well educated man.
And yes he could be a curmudgeon from time to time.
Come the end of the day, I believe he was a good person.
I miss his contributions around here.
To my regret I passed up the chance to buy one of his loom strops. It was just sitting in the classified section and I must have looked at it half a dozen times, then slept on it but too late when I checked again.
His craftsmanship was second to none and I'd guess there weren't many who could match his stock of Ivory either.
I was just thinking of Pixel the other day, was going through an old thread and there he was....that sharp wit and underlying humour like a ray of sunshine, and two posts later there was Neil, was like visiting two old friends for a moment, brought a nice smile.
I will definitely do an SOTD, with the Pixel brush you were awesome to send me Tc, and of course, the proper razor to accompany it.
Great idea Tc, and thanks for bringing back the memory of Bill for us.

Bill got my humor. i know he would never have banned me like some folks. I was not lucky enough to obtain any examples of his craftsmanship. Between him and Neil there was always something good going on. every time i see that big chuck of Walrus boner that was supposed to go to Bill, i get a little melancholy.
for those of you who were smart enough to get one of his loom strops, I applaud you and I dare you to let it sit out where I can get to it! they were some of the best examples of a loom strop I have ever laid eyes on and to this day if I ever see one for sale its bought. TC
They were a work of art ! I didn't get one either, had a Livi at the time. Bill's brushes, loom strops, and other stuff were all super high quality. He was a high quality gentleman as well and I do miss him.Quote:
