You know, they might have moved a little further west towards Richmond. Maybe Greatwood? I'm not sure since they moved to London for 3 yrs with Bechtel if they kept their house or bought another one.

Hope you can still see your neighbors lawn there Tom.
Steve hope you're safe and dry as well.
Longhaul, hope your family is safe and riding this out ok
Dave, Thank you. I'm up on high ground. I won't say I'm high & dry because I'm not high & I am staying dry though. My dog got out the other night & as I was out looking for him, I heard about the storm coming & I got scared for my boy but with the help of some neighbors on nextdoor.com, he was located & I got him back home safe & sound. that was Tuesday night but Wednesday I took him to the vet to get him updated on his shots & heart worm meds & such. He was due for his rabies & was out of his heart worm meds so they checked him for them & was all good. I've been thinking he weighed around 80 lbs but he weighs 85 lbs. No wonder he took me down one day when walking him & he saw a stray cat. There was slack in the leash so you know what happened then. He's a good boy though, an inside dog & never gets into the trash & never chewed on furniture or anything because I always had him his rawhide bones. People are always complimenting how beautiful a dog he is. He's a lab/pit mix.

Also if anyone needs a generator for future uses, a seller on eBay for a limited time only has one that's a hybrid (2450 watt) & runs on gas & propane for $299, free shipping. It is electric start & rope start. They also have a 10k watt on sale for $599 w/electric start & is also a hybrid which runs on gasoline or propane. This could be very important for those not only in floods but possibly in snow storms as well.

I just got this email from Nextdoor.com:

Evacuation information from Fort Bend County
As we shared earlier this evening, the National Weather Service issued a forecast today that shows the Brazos River rising to an elevation of 59’ on Tuesday. City staff has been in frequent contact with Fort Bend County and the Levee Improvement Districts (LIDs) within the County and City to confirm the capacity of the LIDs to withstand this increased flood elevation. Based on the direction of LID engineers, Fort Bend County has issued a number of voluntary and mandatory evacuations. The only mandatory evacuation issued for residents within the City at this time is First Colony LID #1; Fort Bend County LID #7 in the City’s ETJ is also under a mandatory evacuation. All other Sugar Land and ETJ residents within levee districts are under voluntary evacuations at this time. Continued analysis will be ongoing across the County and within the City’s Emergency Operations Center overnight, and additional information will be provided in the morning based on further analysis.

Here are some real-time intersection cameras if anyone would like to look. The one down the street from me is not working & I clicked on some others that aren't working. I actually got this yesterday & I noticed the one near me wasn't working but they sent an update awhile ago that they were all up & running but I guess they don't know about the ones not working:

Also here's a map of the area:

My wife just sent me some pictures of our neighborhood and I thought I'd share. We are near to the Highway 6 and West Little York area, which is in the NW area. Although we are fine, according to Apple's street map, we are locked in. All serviceable exits at the freeways and major highways are closed / flooded. We are about 1.5 from Bear Creek Park, a major flood area. Here are the pictures.

Flash update: Here's another picture my wife just sent. This is the San Houston Beltway at Kimberly, just south of I-10. See the yellow marker on the overpass? That's a clearance marker for trucks. If I remember right, it reads 17-19 feet clearance. Amazing!

I understand that they are going to have to release from Addicks and Barker reservoirs.

They say this will flood homes which have missed it! :banghead:
Just got this from a friend who has a fancy place on Lake Conroe below the dam.
After a release, this is their hot tub, swimming pool, and deck/boat dock.
All in the lake now. Their roof is leaking. Sunken living room filled.
Was a beautiful place.......

That sucks really bad Tom. Robbing Peter to pay Paul. People above the dam might eventually get flooded anyway. I wonder about engineers these days. Some know their sh!t, yet other think they know theirs.
Well, as it fills-up, they have to let some out. These reservoirs are massive. If there is a breach, Hell's come to breakfast for everyone!
