Sitting down an open Razor
Most folks will tell you that you should never leave a razor open, but I don't close mine after a shave to be sure it gets completely dry before closing. This can cause a safety issue with little ones or pets around. So if you do get in this habit be sure you know what and who is around.
In the picture, you can see that the Razor is open as in the standard shaving position. In this position, you can set the razor down on a hard surface without having the edge touch anything. The Tip of the scales and the spine touch. If open only 1/4 of the way as in the way pictures are taken, you will set the handle and edge tip on a hard surface and this could possibly damage the tip. Depending on what surface you are setting it on. Keep in mind that your razor's edge is very delicate. So I go about it in the way until I can strop and get it standing in my Flower Frog for drying.

This is not rocket science and I feel most will learn this quickly. Hope this little info helps someone new to S.R. and remembers to keep in mind who is around. Please store all razors in a safe way. Nobody needs missing fingers!
