Ahh earth day for me brings back some nightmares when I was stationed on the USS Boxer. When we were going through INSURV (big congressional-like inspection of absolutely everything) our XO coined 'Earth day' as a day to clean the ship. From 7am to 4pm that is all we did, clean, clean, clean. Had it a bunch of times, he used to say "I want to get the sparkle back in Boxer" on the 1MC (general annoucing system throughout the ship).

Yah Iclicked on the google image to see what it was and it dimmed my monitor on my laptop. grrrrr

Well, it's that time of year again! Let's celebrate the existence of The Earth one more time in spite of all of our efforts to use its resources for our own personal benefits.

I guess its time to throw away and or burn all that polystyrene that I have been saving in the garage for the last 15 years.

All those plastic shopping bags I need to toss out. :D
