Thread resurrect!

I am now wearing Thierry Mugler's Alien, which has become my daily scent. For decades I wore Joy, by Jean Patou, but then it just stopped working for me. I tried Guerlaine's Insolence, which I do like on occasion, and 1000 by Patou, which is a bit heady. There are a couple of others which I like as well. Sometimes just an oil like Pikaki or Bergamot.

I love perfume. In the right measure (small). It is a very personal thing, and really should only be smelled by those close enough to kiss you. And then they should kiss you. :)

A few years back some people tried to ban perfume in public in California. Now, I am against lots and lots of perfume, but think that movement was ridiculous. I can see not wearing it to a doctor's office or other medical facility, but really. I would be in favour of banning anything running under Sarah Jessica Parker or Paris Hilton's names. :p

My hubby wears Floid Blue, can't get enough of that scent!!!:p
I'm all over him, mmmm wonder is that why he wears that at night!!:w
I love to wear Vera Wang Perfume during at work. Evening time is Cashmere Mist.

Oh I love perfume, too but I'm picky.
Maybe its something in my skin, but cheapo diesel morphs to something I cannot stand at all.
Must be one component I've never really nailed.
So I tested a lot but never been really happy except for
YSL Rive Gauche for winter and the white Trussardi for summer
when I was younger.

A couple of years ago I've been to Grasse, the perfume capitol.
I'm another person since :)
All the designer scents are made there (or in Eze),
but if you see the real factories that only work for their own brand,
thats something else and the scents are, too.
So now for fun I get me a Guerlain now and then
but usually I wear Fragonard. Each one is great.

I am very tempted. Buying online is difficult, though, as they still have not perfected internet scent dispersal!

Yoiks. I lived there for almost five years, and that is not one of my fave scents! Especially when it meant my bookstore just had an armed robbery!

Chillax, I'm totaly kidding. Boque aus Gunfire is a rather beautiful fragrance, it should be limited to the range. I like rosses, on me or her. Bugeron Parfum, and Calonge de toilet, I like in the winter and for formal, supriseingly Derek Jeter has a fantastic citrus casual fragrance named drive. . I don't wear too much - too often. Totally chillaxed now. Gunpowder is not a bad scent - I prefer it mixed with woods smells, though!

I am surprised by the Jeeter - usually I am very suspicious of celebrity scents. I'll give it a sniff, though, on your recommend.

(Since you're in DC, allow me to recommend a nice eatery - Bardia's New Orleans Cafe in Adams Morgan. Mmmmm... And it smells great, too! Like begneits and ettoufee!)

Shame that! It still is my number one scent and I'm not likely to change it in a hurry. Plus the fact Spiker likes it too.:rock:
