Another from Calgary here.
I've been away from the forums for quite a while (I'm on the wrong end of the work/life balance thing right now). This is a good excuse to post and get a little more active :)

Ok, I've touched straight to skin twice only, even if it was just one fearful, tentative stroke on the cheek before reaching for the DE!. So even though I'm a nube, I can qualify to post!
Greetings gentlemen.

Hey Scott,
Thanks for the welcome.
As you read, I got up a the nerve to try my new razor, just a little bit! It is intimidating.
Gotta take some care to avoid developing a Chef Ramsay-type complexion.
What a nice looking razor, by the way. Thanks again for your great service.

Greetings and nice work. Stick with it, not only is it a great shave, but it's really rewarding. When I started a couple of years ago, it was that same tentative stroke down the cheek, shaking like a bear crapping barbed wire. I couldn't imagine how guys were getting those uber smooth shaves. Now I can't imagine shaving any other way.
Hey Brian,
Nice to see you posting again. I wonder if
a Calgary SRP/SMF meetup might be in
order one of these days...

I'm in calgary as well, Have to stop in at Rasage one of these days. glad to know that others are around, I've been wondering who was snatching up all the antiques!
I'm in!
I'd have tons of questions, though.
Just have too many to post. I wouldn't mind meeting some straight razor s havers, and verify in person that they have all facial features intact.
If anyone of you looks like an incomplete Mr. Potato Head -- I might return to my electric!
;-)
