Full Wedge and 1/4 Hollow Razors - Any ideas?

I found a razor that I absolutely fell in love with (I bought it from Bill). It was my first razor that wasnt fully hollow ground. I want to find more razors that have Wedge blades or anything up to 1/4 hollow, any ideas? BTW, I am looking for function over form.

Bills description of the blade when asked was: "If you used Henckels 16 step guide for hollowness, true wedge being #1 and a near frame back being #16, then I think your razor is about a 2 1/2 or 3, possibly a #4, from a true wedge. (Yes, there was a 2 1/2.)

PM Randydance, he had some great "business" razors that were 1/4 hollow ground that he calls "beginner" razors. They are awesome. I warn you though, they come SHAVE ready. I mean, like sharp beyond your imagination. Now he may not have any left, or just a few, so keep this quiet. Don't let the other members know, OK?

I just bid on Vlad's 2-day set. If I win it, I may have to sell off a few of my 1/4 hollows and wedges. :D

I own one of ST. Pauls 1/4 Hollows from Randy - what an amazing razor and I can safely say it came hellishly sharp shave ready :D I also have a couple of other nice little 1/4 hollows ... My challenge for the last week is trying to get an edge on this wedge I picked up on e-bay

I looked at your "wedge" razor you just bought. First, there is quite a bit of wear on the spine and an obviously wide bevel on the blade. The wide bevel is caused by the excessive wear on the spine. This will make it difficult to hone if you use the standard methods. A quick and easy fix is to put one layer of Duct Tape on the spine and then hone the razor. The tape will act as a substitute for the steel that has been worn off the spine. Replace the Duct Tape when it wears down to the steel.
Don't worry, it will not plug up your hone. Keep the tape on during all honing evn if you use a pasted paddle strop. Take it off before you strop.
This has been the easiest method to hone an old, well worn wedge that I have found. In extreme cases you might want to use two layers of tape. Just judge that by the width of the bevel when you hone.

I always have to shrink them down too fit.

Hey I must be learning summit .... last night I used some electrical tape on the spine of that wedge -- I wasn't getting very far without it .. I come in this morning and read Randy's advice -- hey :-) finally the penny might be sinking in with me ........

All this talk of wedges - I now want a nice little 'un .. I'm leaving here ( work ) to go back and work on the one I have hopefully it will be repairable dunno if they can be bought anywhere nowadays ......
I'm scared to go to Bill's site - so many things i'd love to buy sadly the custom scales are long gone :nono:
