I dropped my 8k Shapton in the sink and smashed the glass not long after I started. Very annoying!
I also fumbled my 15/16" Wacker whilst shaving and slashed my hand up catching it. Any other razor I wouldnt have gone for it, but there were only 16 of these razors ever made and I couldnt bear the thought of losing her..! Fortunately I didnt need stitches but the cut bled like crazy.
Several of mine:
Busted a Pipe Razor with a Dremel because it caught the edge. Learned to always keep the rotation of the tool TOWARDS the edge, and only use the Dremel if absolutely necessary. Fortunately it was my first try at Restoration, and I working a well-worn Wosty that wasn't really worth restoring anyhow, not much blade left on it.
#2 After cutting my face because of a steep angle of attack I learned to pay alot more attention when getting the blade to the skin. Unfortunately this caused
#3: Cutting my free hand when lowering the blade away from my face, cause my attention was still in the mirror. I almost did that again last night. Must remember the focus is on the blade at ALL times.
I managed to cut my finger on the blade of my Merkur 34C HD de safety razor. Go figure.
1. Cut my hand to crap because I dropped a razor and without thought tried to catch it...Result, shredded hand....
2. Chipped a Henkels friodor (?) because I was stupid enough to put it on extra fine DMT witihout first sanding down the chips....Result...Chipped NOS Henkels.

Man, what a sorry bunch of Oafs you guys are. I never have to worry about mishaps like that.:w
After shaving under my nose, I was bringing the blade down to wipe off the lather and I clipped the front of my chin. I now have a one inch scar.

Stu, it just makes me cringe. I could easily see myself doing both. My 15/16 is no longer available, though I don't know how many were made. The shapton? I'm SURE I'd do that.Quote:

Way to many mishaps to count, the dremel debacle, dropping razors, hand sanding cuts, buffer gaffs and on and on..... sometimes I wonder where the fun is in all of this!:rant:
