Yea, they have used straights as a possibility a few times. Some other shows have done the same thing.
If it was CSI Miami, I'm sorry to say I'll miss it. I like the other shows though.

I liked the first seasons. After that it went downhill.
NCIS is much better though. Especially with Abby and Ziva (mostly Abbs though :))
Btw, I recently watched 'The Expendables' in theatre, and one of those guys used a straight as a weapon.
Does anyone realize what those CSI shows have done to Law Enforcement folks who actually do CSI? People think crime is actually solved in under one hour. I have been asked by a Grand Juror why the documenting and collection of evidence at a crime scene took more than an hour. There were over 2000 items of evidence to be collected on that one scene. The entire Grand Jury was shocked to find out how long a DNA analysis and comparison actually took.
I was taught by a man who had a PhD in Math and a PhD in Economics that "the Masses are asses." That Grand Jury drove the point home for me.
As a result of the Str8 being the possible murder weapon on the CSI show, you should not tell your friends and neighbors you use a str8. They will think you are a murderer!!!
I saw a movie called The Quest staring Jean Claude Van Damme where straights make an appearance although very briefly (approximatly 1 second). In the movie Van Damme is sitting on top of a mountain with some friends on a quest to attend a martial arts tounement in the 1920s in China when he briefly puts away a striaght.
I saw it. Because I have RAD so bady, I actually paused my TIVO to see if I could tell what kind of razor it was - boy do I need professional help:)
With CSI, I particulary like how complete their databases are. Everything anyone could possibly know or want to know is in their databases. Possibly we should sent all cold case files to Lawrence Fishburn, David Caruso and Gary Sinise.
Two points:
I agree on David Caruso sucking.
On the PhD comments, I agree. In fact I have said for years " Never underestimate the stupidity of the Average American." This however, includes the PhD's, for many of them have an education, but no common sense.
