I did not see it, either. I was looking for it but don't even remember him shaving.

very short scene, I could not tell what brand it might be.
We were eagerly looking forward to seeing the movie and spotting the razor.
Went last week, thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I would classify it as a great production.
Never saw the razor, perhaps the scene was "cut",.....no pun intended. :)
I missed the post where you stated the production company purchased your razor, now that is cool :beer1:
I "think" he uses the razor for about 2 seconds while he sits a tub to wash, almost at the end of the movie, he pulls at his nasty beard & begins to cut away at it, not a shave cream scene. Does this ring a bell??
I finally saw The Revenant and boy was it different than the book. In the book he uses the razor to cut up a rattlesnake, which wouldn't fit the winter landscape of the movie. It was a good movie overall, but I liked it more for the movie making not the story itself.
Today I saw a Lincoln commercial where Matthew McConaughey gets a wet shave. The weird thing is...it looks like the barber is stropping the razor which appears to be a Feather.
I checked out the video and it doesn't even look like there is a blade in the feather lol. I saw another commercial, during the olympics, where some dude was getting shaved with a real straight. Seemed like it was cutting hair and the angle was pretty good also. It could've been another lincoln commercial, but I don't remember Matthew McConaughey in it...
Watching season 2, episode 2 of Boardwalk Empire and Nucky Thompsons is shaving with a straight. Technique & angles are all wrong. If I shaved like that I would have the worst razor burn.
Any other Walking Dead fans out there?
OK, it's not the movies, but I just had to share one of the most cringe-worthy straight razor scenes I've seen for a long time. Let's just say Negan needs to spend some time here on SRP. :)
Yeah . . . just horribad.
At least Woody Harrelson looks alright in the new Planet of the Apes trailer.
I have mentioned the TV show Mt. Selfridge. He gets the edge of his beard trimmed with a straight, followed by some 4711. Over the weekend I spotted a huge bottle of Penhaligon's English Fern in a scene. It was on the counter in the cologne section of the store and must have been a gallon bottle at least.
I've also saw a clip on a BBC series called The Edwardian Farm where the cast tries to farm living and working as Edwardians did. One of the men is shown briefly stropping and shaving. It resembled my first attempt. I'm currently watching the Christmas episodes of its sister show The Victorian Farm.
I've been watching the new Discovery Channel series Frontier and Lord Benton showed some pretty poor technique as well :)
Just watched the 1945 Agatha Christie "And then there were none". Short scene of one of the ten little Indians shaving with a straight and doing a very good job of it.
Watching an episode of Into The Badlands. The main character, who had been quite scruffy to this point, is seen shaving with a straight. A little bogus in that he had a very professional haircut and you could almost tell that he had shaved before shooting the shaving scene as he was as close to a BBS shave you can get on TV. He was holding the razor correctly at least.
I was watching True Blood last night for giggles. There was a disturbing scene where two guys were shaving with a straight using canned cream.
(See that Razorfeld beat me to the punch above as this was a repeat episode...I agree with everything he mentions. Way too good a shave for such a barbaric environment.). ;)
Into the Badlands, S2E03, "Red Sun, Silver Moon"
Sunny actually uses proper shaving angles to get a CCS while holding a broken piece of mirror. I have no idea how he managed to concoct such a lovely lather. No way to tell what the blade was, but from the sound effects, I imagine it was intended to be a full-hollow.
Maybe not a straight but you know your tough when you dry shave with a bic :dropjaw:
Mac from Predator

No wonder the Predator wanted to kill them all. Shaving like that. I'll bet the alien uses a straight.
Apparently she trained with a barber to get the shave to loom realistic.
It worked for me.

Andy Griffith show. Can't remember which episode.
Fiddy cents a shave? I'll take that, thank you! :chapeau
