That brings up a good point about hanging strops.........DON'T roll them up. Well, you can gentle form a loose roll with one like in a shipping box but never roll tightly and never roll them so the smooth skin side is on the inside or it will crease. Mine at least, with the thick linen really can be rolled tight anyway but a gentle bend won't hurt them.

If you guys watch the TI and Dovo factory video's it seems they have a LARGE paddel/stretcher stop that they hold like a hone.
But I agree, the paddle strops do make great travel strops... And, as for rolling the strops, I had one guy on eBay a few years ago, FOLD one and send it to me. I almost went through the roof when I received it! A HUGE speed bump dead center in the strop. Took a LOT of conditioning and rebending to try and work that out....

I think what you are refering to there is a loom strop which looks and holds like a paddle, but functions/affects as a hanging strop.Quote:

It's what I have my gritted strop pastes on.
The one's in the video's are a little older though. They seem to be mouted on a piece of wood, but have a space between the wood and leather in the stropping area. I've seen them before on eBay.de, but not as often on the western hemisphere eBay's....
