My bad for leaving God's own Country but I needed work.
A quick update: I gave my blades a serious working over and that seems to have significantly improved the quality of my shaves. Thanks for all the advice.
In my state, you can go from soft to hard water, county to county. I find it makes a bit of bifference. Moisturiser and a little Glycerine works, Kindof like jetting the carb! Going to a dryer climate might effect the skin enough to send the razors to the hones!
I hear ya thunderman...I may have to leave God's country myself (I live on the border b/w NY & MA at the base of the Taconic Montains), and go back to Long Island (the armpit of civilazation in my oppinion) - formerly my home - for work. But hey, we do what we have to in this world.
I have another angle on this. Although there is no substitute for a sharp razor it may be that your skin is now dry or different than it was in Oregon. I have found that my shaves drop off a lot when my skin is really dry.
Take Care,
Richard
That could be too...I know, for example, I went for a jog about 25 years ago in the SW desert by Gila Bend, AZ., and I was amazed how I didn't sweat at all. In fact, I thought I was going to die it was so stinking dry down that way.
