After reading the thread, some of these have been mentioned...
Im a film Buff, and for me the scene that made me really respect the fire out of Gene Hackman (no puns intended here) was the barber scene in Mississippi Burning where he shaves the bad cop with a str8. That scene made me really fear Gene Hackman as opposed to his Lex Luther lol. Definately my favorite.
Antonio Banderas in Desperado used a butter knife to shave with..i noticed that the other day.
Uma Thurman kisses her str8 after cutting through the ropes in Kill Bill Vol 2. It probably tasted like feet since she pulled it out of her boot.
The scene from Mel Gibson’s “The Patriot” where the evil british colonel was shaving with a str8 was one that made me curious about using that type of razor for the first time.
But, I really think though that Michael Corleone is shaving with a Shick Krona in Godfather 3 in sicily.
There was a guy stropping a razor in one of those Groucho Marx movies during a song. I don't know what movie, but the clip was featured on Capitalism: A Love Story

i didnt feel like reading thru the entire post just to see if somone already mentioned it but here it goes..... The movie tombstone when Doc Holliday is getting a shave on the front porch of the barber shop like the true old west...this scene first caught my interest in straights
The elevator scene in Dressed to Kill. Granted it was used in a murder, but it was a Straight nonetheless :)
In the movie Maverick with Mel Gibson and James Garner. James Garner is shaving with a straight in a tub at the end of the movie.
The Buddhist fist (kung fu movie) about 11 minutes in there's a barber shop scene that starts with a guy stropping a razor. It comes up a cuple times throughout the scene.

Oh goodie, just in time!
I liked the straight shaving scene with our favorite straight razor actor/stuntman: Gene Hackman (he's no hack-man, though). "Scarecrow" with Al Pacino. He seems to know how to actually shave with a straight! A rare quality amongst pansy thesbians.
Just watched Misery as I finished the novel by Stephen King recently. Kathy Bates gives Paul Sheldon a Sr shave with mug & all.
In Rio Bravo, Angie Dickinson (as Feather) shaves Dean Martin (Dude) with a straightn razor and she does a pretty good job. She asks is she can shave John Wayne (John T Chance), but he declines saying he likes to do his own shaving.

I guess I should have read the entire thread first!!!
Seems my favorite SR scene was placed on the board years ago.
In "siberian education" john malcovich either shaves with a straight or a knife i cant remember which but his angles looked dodgy.
