The Classic Edge

Okay, I have to praise this vendor for going above and beyond! A few days ago I decided I wanted the Dovo Bismark before they were no longer available. I talked with Phil Sanchez at www.classicedge.ca and he assured me that he had one in stock and would ship it out as soon as payment cleared. Okay, done deal. I sent the payment and waited a few days. I got the box at my door when I came home from work today. It seemed awfully big for just one razor. To my huge surprize, I opened the box and found alot more than what I was expecting. Along with my dovo razor was a stick of Arko shave soap, A travel shavette with 10 blades. A dmt 325 credit card stone. And the nicest hand written note I have ever had from a vendor!!! This was my first time ordering with www.classicedge.ca and will most certainly not be my last. Phil Sanchez is a great guy and fellow straight finatic. He also put quite the wicked edge on my Bismark and included a free honing certificate. Just had to share this moment with all of you :) cheers, have a great day!

The Classic Edge could be called The Classy Edge. I purchased from them also and the whole experience was a great one.

just got off the phone with Phil, I was turned on to him by Ron over at star shaving ( another class act ) and boy oh boy is he a shave fanatic, he goes the extra mile to make you happy...and he can put quite the edge on a razor as well!

I have to thank Phil too for going the extra mile to satisfy a customer. Very good and friendly service. When I opened the package from him I was very surprised to find a hand written note along with a few extras. He is definitely at the top of my list to buy from.

Just received a package from them today. It was a strop I ordered as I've decided to start bringing my straights with me while I travel. Also my first bottle of real Chromium Oxide. I have the 'crayon' from Lee Valley that I bought years ago, before I realized that wasn't the good stuff. Anyway, I loved the hand written note. Nice touch in a day when everything is computerized and pushed for speed.

I know this is kind of an old thread but I noticed that you said that you wanted a Bismarck before they were no longer available. Did they stop making Bismarcks?

I just bought one a few months ago and they still have them for sale. They shave real nice i might add.

Not that I have heard of.

Problem is that Dovo is very behind on production at the moment.
