There are only a few Straight razor makers in the U.S. I just wanted to take the opportunity to encourage everyone to support U.S. made products.
Thanks.

I'll do my very best....:hmmm:
......Me too ;)
C'mon guys fair competition allows you to buy cheaper razors
I believe in sticking together. I'm Canadian, so I buy Canadian first (preferably local to my part of Canada), then US, Britain and then others.
Hmm...i consider myself a citizen of the world :)
I will be getting a hart steel at some point, though.
I buy American products whenever I can. I know sometimes it is difficult with some products, but we need to start supporting American workers. Two-thirds of the GDP comes from consumer spending.
Well the closer to home the better. but i say we need a huge tariff on Chinese and Pakistani made razor shaped objects... i have no issue with quality razors from around the world there really are not that many actual makers worldwide, so there should be no need for protection... if you have a quality razor people will find and buy them. tariffs only punish quality foreign firms and reward shoddy national firms.
the quality producers will weather the tax storms.
Buying and using Chinese and Pakistani made razor shaped objects are punishment in itself.
I like buying American.
The problem here is that Hart Steel is just out of my price range. I can't see myself paying 5 to 10 times what a vintage costs.
Is Hart the only current American mfg?
