The girls are gone
Wahoo!!! Gone to the circus. Good place for them this evening. So, the "HIGHWAYMAN" are cranked, the ERN is stropped, and the wine is sitting nicely. Do believe I will have a nice peaceful shave. A rarity in my house. Especially since the girls always want to "watch".

My daughter used to love to watch. She also loved to yell "more pressure, Daddy" and "go against the grain again on your neck".

I think there would be a lot of people out there that would read this and just shake their heads....There used to be a time when I would be making plans to go out for a beer with the boys if the girls are all gone out for the evening. Now I think I would do the same as the OP...relax, have a long, hot shower and a close shave followed by a nice glass of 10 year old Port or single malt.
I think I'm getting old.

not old joebehar, it just happens in a mans life when simple things make more and take more precendence, you know, like cutting your throught.
on that note, if society hadn't of taken us to the faster is better, our country may not be in the condition it is in.
so i will just keep enjoying the scrape.
have a nice night, from the big sky.

My girl just left too for 2 days and I'll be on pins and needles till she gets back.
She decided to take her POS Volvo on a 800 mile trip to see her boyfriend with 5 kittens on board. She will be driving most of the night and I'm sure she will give herself very little spare time coming back to work.

Oh man, talk about being on edge.
My daughter went to university only an hour away 4 years ago and I constantly call and see how she is.
As nice as it is to have some quiet time, there are plenty of days I would gladly give it up if she were back home. Once a daddy's girl always a daddy's girl.
Now, sons are different :)
