History of Straight Razors

Are there any excellent books in print relating to the history of the straight razor? I am hoping that someone from this forum is writing one, a medium fat coffee table type with tons of pictures. Yes, I like the internet, but for me, nothing can really replace the book. I'm certain that a handful of members have the necessary knowledge and some members, like manah have amazing historical information on their sites, as does this forum, but please tell me the book is either out there or under way. To me the straight razor is perfection of form and function, like the bicycle or a 1911.

Haha, I feel you on the desire for a nice coffee table book. Although, I'll admit I have a bit of a different mental image of such a tome. The ideal book for me would be a splendid, leather bound volume with an art-history-esq approach to the development, usage, and cultural significance of the straight razor. Oh, and filled with glorious colored plates :D

If anyone does this I'd be sure to buy a copy - little consolation to the toils involved in compiling such a resource. Haha...
