Do you ever use an electric razor, disposable, cartridge anymore?

I thought I'd completely quit using my electric razor and cartridge/disposable razor however I've kept them around.

An electric razor is good when you didn't quite clean up your upper lip area with a straight or DE since multiple passes won't give you a razor burn.

A disposable razor is also handy to have around. Sometimes you might want to shave one wild hair somewhere without getting out all the other gear.

I don't see myself doing a full shave with either of them but they are still handy to have around. Right tool for the job as they say.

How about you or have you completely eliminated those from your arsenal? :)

I have them, but haven't used them in 3 yrs.

ive never owned en electric , and i still do have the disposable layin around .. i just had my 3rd straight razor shave and have only used the disposable for my right side by the side burns cause im blind in that eye and been missin a tiny strip by the ear each time but other then that i feel pretty confident that i wont be useing it for anything else

I would be like setting my Thanksgiving table with turkey, a Big Mac, cranberry sauce, Twinkie, sweet potatoes, Pringles chips, pumpkin pie, 7-Eleven apple pie,,,I think you get my drift.

My straight gets places that an electric could never reach.

A disposable is great to have around for wound preparation, shaving the target area so stitches/bandages can be applied, then toss it. I have a Wade & Butcher on the standby, that's h*ll on "wild" hairs.

Yes, I agree,"Right tool for the right job.",,,a straight.

Not meaning to be a wise butt with this response, but I left the fore mentioned devices, disposables/electric razors, because I hated to shave, they were the reasons. Straights bring pleasure to a daily requirement, that I used to hate.

Why would I want to drift back now ? :shrug:

I love my Electric razor. It has been in my family for 3 generations, and is one of my best shavers!

Use one almost every day. I have a circular beard and find it difficult to shave around my lips with a full sized straight. On trips I use either a 2blade Bic or a plastic straight eye brow razor. At home a use an old Schick injector.

Before I use a buffer or grinder I dry shave the areas my dust mask covers my face. I use an old Mach 3 or a DE & reserve my straight for a proper shave.

I tried an electric years ago, but they burn the crap out of my face and leave a ton of irritation.

This is written from an airport - one of my least fav places. By the time I get home, it will have been 6 days since the last shave. Even visiting family, i couldn't bring myself to plan for a DE and couldn't face a cartridge. So my shaggy face will get love tomorrow from a lovely Williams. I can't wait. This is the longest I've gone (by a longshot) without a str8 shave in over 2.5 yrs.
