I am also new to straight shaving, been DE shaving for nearly 2 years. Is there anyone willing to spend sometime with me who is proficient in honing? I have a very course beard, feathers have hard times cutting my beard and i need to learn how to properly hone my Dovo, sending it out ever 6 weeks is starting to add up. I have a Norton 4k/8k, Japanese natural 12k and would greatly appreciate some help. Heck I can even pay ya for your time and effort, I am an enthusiast at nearly everything I do and i would greatly enjoy learning the honing process.
