Gerrit and Wanda firstly Thank You for inviting me into your home, after I finally got out of Pasco WA. and found you guys :D I had a great time..
Wanda the food and hospitality was most appreciated Thank You ever so much...
This was a great precursor to the Spokane meet up I can't wait..
It is good to share our ideas on this forum , but nothing compares to sitting down with like minded friends, around a table over good food, good (homemade) drink, and a ton of rocks and razors..
A lot to digest, and I am starting a new experiment this week on that Filarmonica after what we tried just very quickly down there...
Seems like there is just never enough time at the meets to get to everything.. We never even got to some of the hones :)
We did get to mess around with two of Phil's beautiful Kamisori style customs on Gerrit's new Nakayama and Ohzuku stones..
The Filarmonica #14 Glenn / "Double N" is mentioning was honed using the "One Stone Hone Method" on his Norton 8k first for a one pass shave... Then we tweaked it up later on my PHIG because he was thinking buying one of those, just to test how the edge felt to him on the second pass :) Kind of a neat test there, to see if he could feel the difference, tons of variables I know but still fun...
I got to shave with that awesome Bob Allman custom of Gerrit's, that was fun too, really nice blade..
Now if we could just get Michael to not talk so much :roflmao:roflmao
To many Stones to little time :D but tons of fun, see you guys again in September...
