Prayers and smoke sent for the family, Rest in Peace Bill.
Sad news. Always enjoyed looking at his work, a true craftsman. Had noticed he hadn't been posting for some time. Will miss his knowledge and random spelling. RIP Pixelfixed.
Sad news:-(
Terrible news indeed. I will miss reading his posts. Thought and prayers to his family.
His online presence seemed to command respect, I'm sure he was the same in person. I will be praying for strength for his family.
Thanks John for posting
Pix will truly be missed here. I was thinking about him lately because I hadn't seen his posts where i might usually see them.
I really loved his honesty and his wit. RIP Bill, my condolences to the family.
Mike
Pix was a wondrous character. I shall miss him and his rather jaundiced view point on life and idiots, then again I seem to have collected a few zingers from his wit. I also really miss him thank you for posting. ~Richard
So sad.
Mike
I am thinking if anyone (everyone should be!) is able, an SOTD to Pixel would be great tomorrow.
Sad news indeed. I thought of Bill as a neighbor since we shared the same home town in Northern Ca. Rest in peace.
This is sad. My condolences to everyone, ladies and gentlemen, and for his family.

Thoroughly sad news. Rest in peace Bill, and with high hopes his family finds some solace and peace in knowing how respected and cared for he was in this unique community where he was held in such high regard.
Sad news-He was a man of strong opinions and obvious talents. I will miss both on the forum. RIP Bill.

My family will be praying for them during this difficult time of both celebration of his life and mourning of his passing.
My condolences to his family. Bill was a true artisan his brushes and loom strops were incredible RIP my friend.
I was very saddened to log in and see this news about Bill...I will truly miss his sardonic yet endearing posts and observations. Rest in peace Bill..
I was so shocked to hear this. I'm so sorry to hear this. I have been thinking of him lately & have been wondering why I have not seen him on here for awhile. There have been some times I wasn't on here due to some personal issues I have been having. That is why I have not posted SOTD's as much but I'm starting to again. I apparently missed the one dedicated to him.We even pm'd each other a few times & the last couple I wrote him I did not get a reply. I had no idea he was in bad health. I need to go to my doctor for a followup.
Rest in peace Bill!
Very sad to hear. Will miss his posts and photos. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace eternal.
Pixel always made me (and plenty of others) feel welcome, and never talked down at me. I wish I had heard this sad news sooner. If his family is still reading these posts, know there is yet another person mourning his passing.
I wonder what hes turning on heavens lathe?
I've been off and on the forum since early April for a variety of reasons, and have missed a lot. In one of my "off" periods, I missed the news of Bill's passing.
A couple of years ago I PM'd him and told him I really wanted one of his brushes but hadn't quite matured enough in the art of shaving to know what I wanted. His reply was, "Don't worry, I plan to be around a while".
Luckily not too long thereafter I had experimented with some different soaps, creams and brushes, and wrote him again telling him what I thought I wanted. In response he found one of his creations that matched my wishes and gave it to me for a very fair price. I wrote a post about it when I first used it, but thought this might be a good place to share it again. It is one of my favorites and is used regularly, especially when I use a soap that's special to me. Here it is, as a salute to a great guy who treated this newcomer special.

The base is jade green soapstone with a large (15/16) Ivory inlay, the second band is muskox horn, and the top is white streaked Buffalo Horn. The knot is a TGN, 24mm two band finest....set perfectly for me. Thanks Bill, RIP.
Nice brush, Harold. Thanks for sharing.
