A sad day indeed. RIP Bill you will be missed.
I didn't know Bill, personally, but always a sad day when this news arrives. Rest in Peace.
A true craftsman. He will be missed for so many reasons. Rest in peace.
I know he had a lot of friends here, and he was pretty knowledgeable in a lot of areas. He was also a talented brush maker amongst other things. He shared quite a bit of his knowledge here. I have missed his presents and will continue too.
My condolences to his family and friends.
My condolences to his wife and family. Sad news indeed, he will be missed.
What a bummer !. I considered Bill a friend, and he likewise I think. We spoke on the phone occasionally, and through email and PM as well. He was a gifted craftsman and a good guy. Surely will be missed around here. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
Bill had a unique sense of humor that I enjoyed, he and I exchanged many a PM
His knowledge, and wit will be missed on here and by me.
God Speed Bill,, and Sincere Condolences to his family...
Gentlemen,
I am profoundly saddened by Bill's passing.
I had known Bill for some years, and always liked his outspokenness and acerbic sense of humor. In that respect, he reminded me of Neil Miller. Bill was also a talented artist and formidable brush maker. Years ago, he replaced a pair of knots on my two coats brushes in the Milk Churn handles and did a superb job.
Bill's brush creations had a distinct style, rendered by an artist's touch. Anatole France said, "In art, as in love, instinct is enough." And Bill had the instinct for art.
Farewell, old friend. I will miss you.
Bill was a valuable asset to this forum and will be very sadly missed.
My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to the family.

Thank You, John for breaking this news to us. I know that Bill was a good friend of yours. My sympathies to you and his family.
I, too, have been worried about Bill in his absence. A bit 'rough around the edges', he was quite talented and informative.
I always enjoyed his posts as I always learned something or was quite entertained.
I feel fortunate to have some examples of his work as well as several wrinkles in my brain I would not have otherwise acquired.
Rest in peace, Bill. A fine job completed, My friend.
