It took me a while (especially the back and neck), but I managed not to nick myself and missed only a few small spots on reviewing my handy work. I kept it to a single pass with touch-ups with a bit of irritation afterwards on the back of my neck where I had to re-do a few patches and probably used too much pressure (I was going blind, by feel, having neither the patience nor bathroom space to set up any double-mirror shenanigans).

I don't think I'll make it an every day affair, but I can definitely see myself SR shaving my head on a weekly basis.

I chose my W+B wedge as it's by far my most forgiving razor. It's smooth and keen when coming off my coticule, but it rarely bites me and doesn't leave me raw and sore. It could become my head razor, me thinks.
I do love my SR! but shaving head is what said is super brave!

I've shaved the cranium with my DE a few times (wife hates the look on me. I don't mind the look and sort of like the feel). I'm itching to try with my straight razor but I have to get better shaving my face with it first.

That's the way to do it. First master the face shaving, then try the head. Step by step, no hurry !

Start the learning process -- when you're ready -- with neck clean-up behind your head. I did that for quite a while before I attempted my first full head shave knowing that a good deal of the strokes would be completely blind.

Ensuing "velcro head" kept me from shaving my head with a SR ever again. Clippers down to 1.2mm seems bald enough for me.

I have shaved it BBS a few times but usually just use electric clippers with no comb attachment. Basically, 5 o'clock shadow scalp.

Just à trick you need to know. Use a hand or small sized mirror to check the result, but not in front of the sink mirror. In fact tourner your back to the big sink mirror and use the small one to look backwards.
