Norton Thin Set

There was a day long long ago where I fell for the idea that thin hones would make it easier to hone Smiling blades :)

Well an SRP Brother and I got a set of Nortons and I cut them down and we split the set

I used mine 2 times and I learned that the idea that a thinner hone made it easier was bogus.. The width simply doesn't matter one way or the other...

So for almost 10 years this set has been sitting in the Hone Chest collecting dust

These are 1.5 inches by 8 inches

They are a 220/1000 and a 4000/8000

Note they are 10 years old that means the 4000 is one of the highly rated USA made hones :D

They have literally been lapped once and used on two razors
