Looks green to me. I think whoever it was needs to salve his @$$. Nice looking stone and perfect size. Wish I had the expendable funds.
It was probably a rabbi. If they even think there is a hint of blue in them they refuse to use the things..
Possible, but generally Rabbi's don't care about labels enough to pay the premium that a labeled escher would fetch.
There's one in Spring Valley, NY that throws big money around for the labeled yg rocks and has for years. And I had a lg returned once with no label by that same buyer because they thought they saw the tininst hint of blue in there (where idk, but they bought so many eschers off of me over the years wo haggling I wasn't going to argue with them)...Quote:

Do you think razor guys are the only people who buy Eschers? Rabbis buy them to put the final edge on their kosher slaughter knives. They heavily prefer the yellow greens but will buy the light greens also. Idk where the notion came from but a lot of them seem to treat dark blues like lepers.
Like to the point where if I listed 10 yg thuris 6 or 7 would be going to one of them because they pounce on the things the way Australians pounce on frictionites and Norton razor hones... I think it is mostly speed as far as the color is what I take from it as far as their ideas.
They sort of help drive that market in the way Ukrainians and Russians have driven the Arkansas stone market for years. Notice arks are going up again after a flattening out, it's because the Ukrainians are buying them aggressively again. The depressing thing about the arks is they could buy rare stuff like rosy red washitas with labels and once they get there almost all of them are cut up into strips for those KME sharpening systems they are obsessed with. I have been told from the horse's mouth..
And BTW, that's a nice deal from OP for that stone.. A proper bench stone with a really great label. I'm surprised it hasn't gone.
An Escher only is a proper Y/G if it has the relevant label on the long end.
