I've decided to write a book entitled "In Praise Of Tape".

You should make a movie about how to tape a razor up properly ! It will go nationally !!

After reading all seven pages of this thread I have come to one conclusion (ok, maybe two....). One: We need to start charging dues to be a member of SRP in order to build up a contingency fund to hire a staff psychiatrist to handle member disintegration problems. Oh, wait, once a psych MD sees the nature of the maladies he'll pay us to be able to study a new branch of psychiatric disorder, that of a combination of Acquisition Disorders of various and many kinds, a need to endlessly discuss arcane mysteries of razor maintenance, ever evolving variations of male envy as expressed in these posts, and finally, our need to just have a good time while living under the miserable conditions of the real world where no body wants to get along peacefully. Whoops! That's more than one. Sorry, no ones perfect. Shave safely and make that a double before dinner.

I like the glow in the dark stuff myself. You can hone in the dark (cheap thrill), stropping is really exciting! it's like a crazy lightening bug flying around in the room....
But seriously I don't even know if they make that. Kinda like this evening while walking around at work, thinking you know what would be cool, finger flashlights. I mean everyone is trying to sell you the lastest flash light that will bend and curve in to tight spaces spaces and set there. But the truth is if your hands are in there your blocking the light, so why not finger flash lights....way off topic, but I think this whole thread got way off topic....
Here's another idea I had, why not make a piece out of plastic that would slip over the spine, and forget about the tape, it would just need anough tention to keep from slipping off.

1- it is easy to find the end of the tape if you have used it for fixing cables to a draw wire, and forgot to fold the end over.
2- you can write on it with marker pen if you are labeling stuff.
3- it's easy to see in your tool bag.

I really like some of the wacky stuff, and I'm a repeat offender of ridiculous, frivolous comments, it's my 'thing'. I like how guys on this forum aren't all serious all the time, some guys are really funny!
