Help identifying stones
Hi,
I was given the following stones, they used to belong to a barber.
I've been told that that larger one is a coticule, not sure about the two smaller ones.
Any help would be great.
Also how long does it normally take, after setting the bevel, to get a shave ready edge using a coticule.
Also do you use both sides or only the light coloured side.
Thanks in advance.

The larger one is definately a coticule, the others look like barbers hone. The coticule will make a razor shave ready, somewhat famous for a smooth edge, how long will it take varies a lot from stone to stone.
Most uses the light coloured side only.

I would agree with above. Just I am not sure if there is also BBW with Coti or just slate.

The side view looks like BBW to me. Also, the line between the two seems very sharp and well defined but a bit wavy at the same time. Is this just the photo OP, or is it a natural?

The coticule looks glued to a bbw imo. Nice present.
