I hated mine. The sad thing is a Naniwa was only $15 bucks more.
Dunno what you guys are are on about, the king is a great stone you just have to keep it saturated with a surface water and use very light pressure. I get great results off the king and personally don't like faster cutting stones.

As a learner six months into it who, over the next year, might need to set four or five edges, I like the deliberate nature of the King 1k. Following the "Shave off a 1K" thread I neatly elevated a few razors from scars to stars starting with a King 1k with no drama and no rush. Fast doesn't figure in for me; slow can be a benefit.
Question: Does Glen get his coal from Santa??? I know I do!!
