I have no real idea on exact numbers. It is very smooth on the bevel like nothing I have seen before perhaps someone with great experience will chime in with some real numbers as time passes. High grit smooth finisher is all I have for you.

You know, you're right, what the heck! I'll start bringing them as I see them interesting to me. Lots of interesting rocks in Central and South America.
You can visit me in the funny farm and bring some razors (well maybe they would not allow that!).
Looking foward to trying Shaun stone!
I don't think my wife could handle a Canadian, enough with the African and the German! I told her about the Japanese one, and she was not happy either. Hones that is!
Great write up
it works and it looks great to boot, i dig the colours in it
now we wait for the day when someone finds an abundance of a Thungarian equivalent stones in their searches & floods the market at reasonably priced naturals LOL
Got to love the look of that stone… but it need a catchier name.
A Shaunacuile, Snat, Shauninise 12K, Surgical Green, Shancher, Shaunaguin, Super Duper Stone, Oh My Golly Haida Gwaii (OMGHG).
Xaadala Gwayee Stone (XGS)
According to Google, (Still in use is the older name "Xaadala Gwayee" or, in alternative orthography, "Xhaaidlagha Gwaayaai", meaning "islands at the boundary of the world".[3] "Xhaaydla" ("worlds") refers here to the sea and sky).
Edge of the Earth Stone
I like Xhaaydla Stone, (Sea & Sky Stone).
Thanks, Shaun & Hirlau
Put me on the list…
Wow you really put a little thought and research into that post. In reality it will likely wind up as HGH, Haida Gwaii Hone, I suppose I could talk to the elders and look for something a little more catchy. However it is a very difficult language for most to pronounce.
Beautiful stone!
Cheers.
My name is Shaun as well...I must have one of these stones...
So cool.
I think most natural stones you are going to get varied reports of consistency. How much is the stone and how much is the person honing on it we will never be able to tell. My Guangxi is very consistent. A gold dollar is a cheap razor made in China whereas a Guangxi (PHIG) is a natural piece of the earth that was there long before China came into being so not a great comparison there.
On the other hand (not to hijack this thread) I agree with you that the Rezdog's stone definitely has a WOW factor
